LEPRA (Swe) – ‘Mortuus Morgana’ MCD

With this recording they have bring forth all the finest memories of the glorious Swedish Death / Black Metal from the golden 90’s era but with a very personal approach. Released online by the band themselves in December 2024 they rapidly got the attention of various labels, and whilst Stygian Black Hand from the US is taking care of the cassette version, BlackSeed Productions will release LEPRA first recording in both vinyl and CD. “Mortuus Morgana” shows an extremely tigh band for the time they have been playing, and even if they do not hide their influences, taken from bands as old Dissection, Regugnant or even Dismember, they inject their sound with a very personal ‘dark’ approach and a masterful use of acoustic guitar parts. LEPRA themselves refers to their sound as ‘Cadaver Rock from Stockholm’ but unlike what you can read in some places online, they sound as a really dark, melodic and furious Death / Black Metal.
