Initial recordings were downright primitive and noxious, an ode to early ‘90s brutality while capturing the classic Finnish sound in all its colossal ugliness and filth. With their first full length, Malus Corpus, Korpsesoturi has polished things up a bit, but still deliver a massive slab of barbaric death metal, lurching and writhing in spastic convulsions as it alternates between frenzied high-speed pummel and some seriously foul and fearsome downtuned riffage, along with vocals that roar from impossible depths.
