Invocation Ritual’s debut album ‘Altered Reality’ presents ten tracks of death metal shaped by psychological turmoil, exploring a world where addiction, war, mental illness, and personal suffering distort perception and erode the sense of self.

Through a distorted veil, ‘Altered Reality’ projects a warped vision of existence, where perception begins to fracture and certainty gradually slips away. Echoing the haunting cover art, ‘Altered Reality’ captures a descent into uncertainty, where suffering and self-destruction reshape the world around us.

Featuring current and former members of Oxygen Destroyer, Kontusion, and Reburied, Invocation Ritual bring together experience from across the extreme metal underground. Their take on death metal combines crushing intensity with a sense of unease and instability, mirroring the unsettling vision at the heart of ‘Altered Reality’.

‘Altered Reality’ was engineered and recorded by Paul Wright (bass), Victor Teller (vocals), and Billy Anderson (guitar and drums), with mixing by Anderson and mastering by Greg “Earhammer” Wilkinson. The cover art was created by Dan Bones and Anne Margrete Sjøflot, with logo design by Christophe Szpajdel and photography by Taylor Franklin.
