AKOUPHENOM (Por) – ‘Connections to the Erebus’ MCD Digipack

Coming from the same composition and recording sessions of Death·Chaos·Void, these new four-tracks EP continues Akouphenom’s exploration of dark themes and complex compositions, further establishing their presence in the extreme metal scene. Starting with “Absurd Of The Arkhe”, the band offers their personal take about futility and existentialism within our lives, before switching to their native language, Spanish, for “Extrema Unción” and “Abismo”. These two songs, as described by Akouphenom themselves, are “a denial to christianity and the idea of a paradise after death in exchange of an entire living as sheep and following the rules. Also facing up a huge lie, and being all this nothing more than a historical mechanism to control mankind, these songs reject the blessing in the final hour. We are atheists, we do not believe in nothing, and we accept that Death is the main end.”
