STIGMA (Gr) – ‘Epitaph’ MLP (1993 unreleased recording)

This is the recording that made us start Nuclear Winter Records 25 years ago!!! Recorded in 1993 but never properly released, we formed the label in 1999 with the idea of reaching out to the band and proposing a CD / vinyl release and giving it some exposure. Sadly the band turned us down but now finally, 25 years later, our fellow friend Vangelis from Extreme Earlslaughter managed to get consent from Stigma and give this masterpiece a vinyl treatment!

This is hands down the best Death Metal recording of all time coming from Greece, showcasing compositional skills that were almost unparalleled at the time and musical performance that was unheard of for Greek standards. Which is why it still sounds so fresh and relevant now in 2024, 31 years after it was recorded.

Vinyl re-release of their criminally underrated 2nd demo from 1993 (originally self-released on cassette). Tech Death/Thrash in the vein of Death, Demigod, Sepultura, Sindrome, Atheist, Pestilence etc.
